Applications 1,3-Dibutyl-pyrimidine-2,4,6-trione is a derivative of Barbituric Acid (CAT# B118650), which is the parent compound of many barbiturate drugs. It can be useful in the study of effect of subinhibitory exposure to quaternary ammonium compounds on ciprofloxacin susceptibility of Escherichia coli strains in animal husbandry. It can also be useful in the preparation of Hamilton-receptor-connected merocyanine chromophores.
