| Applications | tert-Butyl (R)-2-[(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)oxy]propionate is an intermediate in the synthesis of (S)-M8-SPy (M755300), commonly used for caging lanthanides and other heavy metal ions in magnetic resonance imaging (1). Lanthanide Complexes based on DOTA cage are also utilized in structural NMR applications due to their ability to induce either paramagnetic relaxation enhancement or a pseudocontact shift (PCS) depending on the choice of the lanthanide (2). |
